Response
The Deposit Return Scheme - Gateway Review Report - June 2021 (the report) is an external report produced and published by two different agencies. The report was produced by external advisers provided by suppliers on a Framework agreement for the provision of external advice for the independent assurance. The external advisers are independent of the Scottish Government and carry out a short, focused review of a programme or project carried out at key decision points in its lifecycle.
The production costs are £990.00 a day for an external adviser to lead and/or participate in an Independent Assurance Review, for example a Gate 0: Strategic Assessment such as this one. The total cost for the production of the report was therefore £10,692.00.
The publication of the report was performed by publishing firm APS who charged a total of £357.68 for their work.
In full, the costs of producing and publishing the report were therefore £11,049.68.
