Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

1. All costs associated with the Scottish Government’s ‘Tackling the Stigma of Addiction’ campaign. Please detail all costs incurred or expected to be incurred in the financial years of 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26.

Response

As part of our efforts to tackle societal stigma experienced by people with problematic substance use, the Scottish Government has launched a national campaign to reduce stigma. The projected cost of the campaign for 2021-22 financial year is £900,000.

At this time, no decisions have been made on how the campaign would continue after this period, and this is subject to evaluation of the campaign. Therefore we are unable to provide expected costs for financial years 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.
