Information requested

Minutes of the meeting between Nicola Sturgeon, Keith Brown and Honeywell that took place on October 19 2017.
Any correspondence between the Scottish Government and/or its Ministers and Honeywell.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don’t have the information are explained in the Annex to this letter. We are also unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA apply to that information. The reasons why those exemptions apply are also explained in the Annex.

As previously indicated by Laura McKeller on 5 November 2021, the Scottish Government does not hold the information you request on the October 2017 meeting. The meeting was held at Honeywell’s Corporate HQ, New Jersey between Keith Brown MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work, Jeffrey Neuman, Vice President and Corporate Secretary and Jeff Freeman, Government Relations Director, Business Incentives, Honeywell.

The meeting formed part of a programme of business engagements in the US organised by Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International to recognise the support of this important investor, strengthen senior level relationships with Honeywell and gain an understanding of the company’s future ambitions for Scotland.
