Additional funding provided to public bodies due to COP26 conference: FOI release

Information requested

1. For each of the following agencies and other Scottish Government-funded public bodies, how much funding is being provided to each agency as per the terms of the memorandum of understanding between the Scottish Government and Cabinet Office for additional costs incurred because of COP26.

1a. The agencies/public bodies are: Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Police Scotland/ Scottish Police Authority, Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Public Health Scotland, National Services Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Transport Scotland (including transport partners under governance of the Transport Steering Group).

2. For any other public bodies or agencies not detailed above, please name them and state how much additional funding they are receiving due to COP26 incurred costs? This should include, as an example, the Scottish Prison Service.

For clarity - this FOI request is specifically about any additional funding provided to public bodies due to the financial impact of COP26, which will be paid by the UK Government's Cabinet Office as per the terms of the MOU previously referenced.

As of 20 September 2021, the current approved additional funding is £87,733,000.

The Scottish Government does not have the information on all of the Delivery partners as shown above. As of 20 September 2021, the following Delivery Partners business cases are currently being processed by the Cabinet Office SAB: Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal, Scottish Courts and Tribunal service, SEPA, National Services Scotland.
