The Scottish Greenhouse Gas Inventory: EIR release

Information requested

Can you please provide copies of The Scottish Greenhouse Gas Inventory for 2018-2021 and dates for release of any future publications.

Also please provide links to any related published statistics and measures.

Response

At the time of writing only two of the requested inventories are available covering the periods 1990-2018 and 1990-2019, the latter was published on 15 June 2021. These publications are linked below:

In both cases, additional information to the main release, is contained in the "supporting documents" section of the main page. This supporting information includes the full detailed emissions database used to construct each publication. 

You asked for dates for the release of any future publications. This is usually the 2nd week in June each year, although the precise release date is agreed between the nations of the UK shortly after quality assurance of the draft dataset. As a result, we're unable to provide specific dates at this time.

For the next inventory release, covering the period 1990-2020, we will pre-announce the precise release date in May 2022 on the Official Statistics: Forthcoming Publications page on the Scottish Government website.
