Confirmation of the amount Scottish Government provided for the Renfrewshire Literacy Approach research conducted by Sue Ellis, Jess Anderson and Adele Rowe.
Response
The Renfrewshire Literacy Approach, which was carried out August 2015 - July 2017, was funded as part of wider work carried out by Renfrewshire Council under the Attainment Scotland Fund Schools Programme and the Scottish Attainment Challenge. It is therefore not possible to specify the amounts provided for the research project, however we can confirm the following levels of funding:
- In the year 2015/16 Renfrewshire Council received £231,120 under the Scottish Government's Attainment Scotland Fund Schools Programme.
- In the year 2016/17 Renfrewshire Council received £1,711,919 under the Scottish Government's Scottish Attainment Challenge funding.
