Information requested
1. Figures relating to grants administered under the Scottish Self-Build Loan Fund since its implementation to date, broken down by rural versus urban-based applications.
2. Applications in rural areas broken down by a) type b) projected costs c) location.

Below is a copy of all the information requested.
1. To 20 September 2021, 67 applications have been made to the national Self Build Loan fund with 32 loans issued to applicants. As previously discussed and agreed, we have used the six fold urban rural classification system to define rural areas. For the 6-fold classification those with a value 1 - 4 are classed as urban and those with a value 5 - 6 are classed as rural.

Areas with a population of less than 3,000 people, and with a drive time of over 30 minutes to a Settlement of 10,000 or more. |
Of the 32 loans issued, 29 are classified as located in a rural area.
2. For applications to the fund in rural areas, a) by type, data is presented for those in receipt of loans only and cannot be split by urban/rural location.
