How much Transport Scotland has had to spend on short-or medium-term charters/contracts of ferries so far in this financial year. Specifically how much was the spend in 2010/11, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21.

I can confirm that the cost incurred to Transport Scotland to charter vessels, outside of the Public Service contracts for Ferries, is as follows:

• Year 2017/2018 £145,142.94
• Year 2018/2019 £412,638.72
• Year 2019/2020 £4981.96
• Year 2021/2021 Nil

After conducting a further search for Year 2010/2011 data the information is no longer available.
