Information requested

1. In the past 12 months, the number of members of the NHS pensions schemes who have given notice of their intention to draw their pension within the next six months, broken down by how many are aged a) under 55, b) 55-59 c) 60-64 and d) 65 and over.

2. In the past 12 months, the number of medical practitioner members of the NHS pensions schemes who have given notice of their intention to draw their pension within the next six months, broken down by how many are aged a) under 55, b) 55-59 c) 60-64 and d) 65 and over.

In further correspondence, you clarified that you were ‘looking for the number of applications received from 14 July 2020 – 13 July 2021 informing SPPA that they intend to start drawing their pension within six months of their application date. However, if that is not possible then the number who have given notice of their intention to start drawing their pension before the end (31st) of January would be fine.’
