Correspondence with Scottish Green Party regarding co-operation agreement: FOI release

Information requested

Any correspondence the Scottish Government has had with the Scottish Green Party regarding a co-operation agreement for the Scottish Greens to join or support the Scottish Government. This correspondence should include emails, attachments, typed or handwritten notes, letters, notes/records of phone calls, minutes of meetings, briefings or otherwise. Please limit the time period from 6 May 2021 to the present date.

Response

Some of the information you have requested is enclosed in Annex A of this letter.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, exemptions under Section 29(1)(a) Formulation of Government Policy, Section 30(b)(ii) Free and Frank Provision of Views, Section 30(c) – the effective conduct of public affairs and 38(1)(b) (Personal Information) of FOISA applies to some of the information requested. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex B of this letter.
