Information requested
Total number of affordable homes built in South Ayrshire by either South Ayrshire Council or it’s Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) from May 2017 to end of 2021.
Response
From May 2017 to end March 2021 there have been a total of 342 affordable homes delivered in South Ayrshire by either South Ayrshire Council or RSLs. The attached table gives the breakdown of these homes.
Affordable homes provided through the Scottish Government’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme (AHSP) comprise of homes for social rent, mid-market rent and low cost home ownership. These homes include new build homes, rehabilitation projects, conversions and off-the-shelf purchases of both new and second hand homes.
The Scottish Government publishes Quarterly Housing Statistics which include figures relating to homes approved, started and completed through the Affordable Housing Supply Programme. https://www.gov.scot/Topics/Statistics/Browse/Housing-Regeneration
