Duration of social media Covid-19 advertisement campaigns: FOI release

Information requested

Further to FOI/202100195521 on social media spending, information relating to the precise timings that each of these ads was purchased for; to clarify that it's when the ad was first purchased and paid for, and the duration for which the ad was supposed to run for on the respective social media network.

Response

The table below gives detail on when marketing campaigns ran which utilised paid-for social media marketing. For each of the categories listed in FOI/202100195521, we have provided start and end dates. Where there are multiple dates this is to reflect that some categories have operated phased approaches. Other categories have been active throughout, but this does not mean there has been social media advertising live every day as media agencies are briefed to deliver and optimise the advertising within each campaign to maximise performance.
