First Minister call with Scottish Tourism Alliance 2020: FOI Review

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

Information requested

Further to our letter of acknowledgement of 8th March , I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for the following:

Any agenda, minutes, notes briefing papers, handouts, or memos in relation to a private call with the Scottish Tourism Alliance on November 10, 2020. This should include any information listed above distributed to special advisers, ministers and other civil servants, and a full attendance list, including time, date and location of call.

Response

Your review request makes clear that you were interested in a call between the First Minister and the Scottish Tourism Alliance. That call took place on 11th November. We have no record of any meeting on 10th November. I have therefore concluded that the original decision should be confirmed.

However, given the information you sought is now clear, I have attached a copy of the briefing note for the First Ministers meeting with the STA on 11th November. In addition, a note of the 11th November meeting was published on the STA website here: STA CEO and Chair discuss current challenges for tourism industry with Scotland’s First Minister | Scottish Tourism Alliance.
