First Minister's diary: FOI release

Information requested

'copies of the First Minister’s Forward Look document used by the First Minister’s Private Office and selected officials to map out and detail the First Minister’s diary.

This is not to be confused with Ministerial diary entries or policy grids. This a specific request for copies of the First Minister’s Forward Look document on the following dates:
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31st March 2018 and 1 & 2nd April 2018.'

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance having undertaken adequate and proportionate searches I can confirm the Scottish Government holds no recorded information within the scope of your request. The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because the First Minister's forward look document is created anew each day, using all engagements in the First Minister's diary, in order that people without access to the diary can be made aware of the First Minister's movements; it is not retained as it is purely an operational document.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.

Outwith FOISA, it might be helpful to say that details of all Ministerial engagements and expenses are proactively published by the Scottish Government, including the costs of travel and accommodation.
