Level of resource within the Scottish Government's State Aid unit: FOI release

Information requested

You requested the following:

‘Please can you provide information on the current (i.e FY 2019/20) level of resources in Scottish Government’s State Aid unit? Specifically the number of staff (full time equivalent), their grade and whether this resource is supported by a framework agreement to access additional external resources. If a framework agreement exists for this team, please can you confirm the total budget allocated per annum under this agreement for 2019 and 2020.’

Response

1) The Scottish Government State Aid Team currently consists of one member at SG band C2, one member of staff at C1, one secondee at C1 (supporting the team from May 2020 to January 2021), four members of staff at B3 and one at B2.

2) The Scottish Government State Aid team is not supported by a framework agreement to access additional external resources.
