Provision of Disability Student Allowance at University of Glasgow: FOI release

Information requested

You asked for the following, regarding the validation of University of Glasgow in relation to provision of Disabled Student Allowance:

• All Annual Statements from UoG and mid-term or second Institution Annual Statements
• All mid-cycle Institution Self-Evaluation Questionnaires
• A copy of any Peer Review undertaken and submitted
• A copy of any student feedback provided (unless of course it is included in the above)
• A current list of Validation Panel members
• A copy of the most recent Validation Panel Minutes (please advise if these are posted online)

Response

Attached is a copy of some of the information you requested in the attached Annex A, in response to the following:

• All Annual Statements from UoG and mid-term or second Institution Annual Statements
• All mid-cycle Institution Self-Evaluation Questionnaires

An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, i.e. names, contact details, and other identifiable information, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018.

Where reasonably practicable I have provided the correspondence in its original format, however for some documents the text has been extracted from its original format to assist with the redaction of information. There is no alteration to the content of the original text, except those redactions.

Under section 17(1) of FOISA, the Scottish Government does not have some of the other information you have requested.
