Information requested

1. The cost to date of setting up and operating the Louisa Jordan hospital.
2. How many COVID-19 patients have been treated there to date.

Response

1. The NHS Louisa Jordan was established to help ensure NHS Scotland had extra capacity to treat patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and stood ready to do so since 20 April 2020. The set up costs are £31 million. The breakdown of the costings is available on the Scottish Government website at https://www.gov.scot/publications/nhs-louisa-jordan-costs/.
The total infrastructure costs including set up and decommissioning are within the overall estimated costs of £38m. The lease for the NHS Louisa Jordan at the SEC has been extended until the end of April 2021 and expected running costs to then are £29 million.

2. There has been no COVID-19 patients treated at NHS Louisa Jordan
