2. 18 of the 149 applications above have not been fully assessed for eligibility as they relate to the September 2020 application tranche which has not been concluded at this stage. This leaves 131 applications which have been fully assessed for eligibility during the 24 months up to 1st October 2020. 27 of these applications were rejected as they did not meet the scheme eligibility requirements. A further 20 eligible applications were rejected because they did not receive enough points through the scheme scoring criteria. 2 applications were withdrawn. This leaves 82 applications which were approved and offered a grant towards their new house or house improvement.
Therefore 63% of the applications received in the previous 24 months have been approved (80% of eligible applications).
3. The three most common reasons why applications were rejected during the 24 months up to 1st October 2020 are as follows;
- the application did not receive enough points through the scoring criteria to meet the tranche threshold score.
- the application was incomplete or had relevant supporting documentation missing.
- the house plans submitted with the application did not meet the scheme requirements for house size etc
