Gender Representation on Public Boards (Scotland) draft report: FOI release

Information requested

1) The date on which EKOS Ltd first supplied a draft of its report analysing responses to the 2019 consultation on the Gender Representation On Public Boards (Scotland) Act 2018,

2) Copies of any correspondence or records of discussion with EKOS Ltd or any individual representing EKOS Ltd about the content of this or later drafts, including any changes suggested by the Scottish Government to any drafts shared with it,

3) Copies of any correspondence or records of discussion with EKOS Ltd or any individual representing EKOS Ltd about the timing of the submission of its consultation analysis report,

4) The date on which the text of the draft as published on 3 April 2020 was submitted to the Scottish Government

Response

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies. This is because this is personal information, relating to employees of the Scottish Government and EKOS Ltd.

With regards to the two dates you ask about, these were:

• the date on which EKOS Ltd first supplied a draft of its report analysing responses to the 2019 consultation on the Gender Representation On Public Boards (Scotland) Act 2018 was 9 October 2019. And
• the date on which the text of the draft as published on 3 April 2020 was submitted to the Scottish Government was 18 November 2019.
