Information requested
The records of the First Minister's overseas meetings with EU officials from May 2016 to December 2019. The records should include what was discussed. Not just dates and names.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested:
- Annex A provides a record of the First Minister’s overseas meetings with EU officials from May 2016 to December 2019. It includes names, dates and the official record of the meeting.
- Annex B is a note of the First Minister’s meetings on 29 June 2016 taken by Scottish Government officials.
- Annex C is a note of the First Minister’s meeting with Michel Barnier on 11 June 2019 which was taken by the European Commission.
An exemption under section s32(1)(a)(ii) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. These sections exempt information on the basis i) that disclosure of the information would, or would be likely to, prejudice substantially relations between the UK and any international organisation.
