Statistics regarding the passenger footfall on the Borders Railway

In answer to your question, ScotRail provides Transport Scotland with the data on the Borders Railway passenger numbers and these can be obtained from the table below:-

2017-18 | 1,718,339 |
2018-19 | 1,789,467 |
2019-20 | 1,723,083 |
The figures for 2019/20 are likely to have been slightly affected by the Covid-19 lockdown, which came into force after the middle of March. The reported passenger flows for the calendar-2019 year were 1,757,419.
Data on the use of individual stations on the Borders Line can also be obtained from the Office of Rail and Road's website and I have attached a link to these. https://dataportal.orr.gov.uk/statistics/usage/estimates-of-station-usage/
Data on by-station demand are also now available for the year to March 2019 from the ORR website.
