'Since the introduction of the Help To Buy scheme:
Q1. How many property owners have purchased additional equity in their property?
Q2. What is the average additional equity stake purchased e.g. is it 5%, 10% etc.?
Q3.What is the average value of additional equity stake purchased?'

A clarification question was issued in which it was highlighted that owners do not purchase additional equity but are able to increase their equity by tranching, in which we asked "Can you clarify if you are looking for how many property owners have increased their equity by tranching up? In particular, it would be helpful to know in addition, can you also clarify the time period, is this all Help to Buy owners since 2013?

The answer to your original question and also your response to our clarification questions is as follows:

Q1. How many property owners have purchased additional equity in their property?
R1. From 2013 a total of 102 property owners have increased their equity by tranching up.
Q2. What is the average additional equity stake purchased e.g. is it 5%, 10% etc.?
R2. The average equity stake purchase is 19.18%
Q3. What is the average value of additional equity stake purchased?
R3. We can confirm that that the average additional equity stake purchased is £37,312.
