Scottish Central Authority - ‘address searches’ from other countries: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You asked “Does the Central Authority Team deal with ‘address searches’ from other countries? If so, are there any stats on that?”

Response

Below is a table which provides statistics on address searches from other countries received by the Scottish Central Authority. The statistics for 2012-2017 are for EU countries only. The statistics for 2018 and 2019 include non-EU countries in the lower row (with EU countries in the top row). The Central Authority does not hold recorded statistics for non-EU countries for 2012-2017. The statistics have been recorded for EU countries since 2012 as these statistics are requested as part of annual statistical returns to the European Judicial Network in Civil and Commercial Matters.
