A copy of the Scottish Appropriate Adult Network (SAAN) Annual Report 2018/19 and for copies of the minutes from SAAN meetings held in 2019 to date

Response

1. Attached is a copy of all of the documents you requested, namely the SAAN Annual Report 2018/19 and minutes of SAAN meetings held on 21 February 2019 and 30 May 2019.
2. An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to a small amount of the information in the requested documents because it is personal data of a third party - names of individuals - and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. 
3. For your information, Police Scotland, on being sought it's views as a third party with an interest in these documents, intimated that it was not involved in the production of the SAAN Annual Report 2018/19 nor can it verify any of the figures contained in the report.
