FOI reference: FOI/201900001171 Date received: 11/04/2019 Date responded: 23/04/2019
Information requested:
You asked for for how many care experienced young people has the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon listened to since her SNP conference speech of 15 October 2016.
Alternatively, should that information not be held, how many care experienced young people has the First Minister listened to in 2017 and 2018?
If information is not held for either of the above questions, please answer how many care experienced young people the First Minister met in an official capacity from 15 October 2016 to 15 October 2018.
Response:
The answer to your question is the First Minister has listened to 626 care experienced young people to date as part of her commitment to listen to 1000 care experienced young people during the course of the Independent Care Review.
We have only counted each young person once but it should be noted that the First Minister has met some of the care experienced young people on more than one occasion at different events.
