Information requested

You asked for information on criminal proceedings since 2014, where people were charged with breaching the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949.

Response

Failure to comply with notices issued under The Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949 would be prosecuted under sections 5 and 17 of this Act. The latest available information from the Scottish Government Criminal Proceedings database is for the financial year 2017-18 and this shows that there were no prosecutions during the period 2013-14 to 2017-18.
