Information requested
You asked for the amount of homes that have been delivered through the mid-market rent scheme by Places for People Capital who received a £47.5 million loan from the Scottish Government; and the location of where these mid-market rent homes are being built across Scotland?
Response
Places for People Capital secured a £47.5m loan facility from SG in summer 2018. To date, Places for People Capital has drawn down funds to purchase two development sites at which it will deliver a total of 151 mid-market rent homes - 66 homes will be delivered in Renfrewshire and 85 homes will be delivered in Edinburgh.
Delivery on these sites is at an early stage, however more up to date figures will be available after the latest set of quarterly affordable housing supply statistics are published on 24 September.
Places for People Capital is currently considering a number of other sites throughout Scotland as part of its pipeline to further utilize this facility and deliver 1,000 mid-market rent homes by 31 March 2021.
