Education Scotland - staff curriculum areas: FOI release

Information requested

You requested the following information:

How many staff working for Education Scotland are allocated to/have responsibility for/work on each individual subject area. Please break the information down by each subject and provide the information as of 1 May 2019.

For example, I am looking for something like this: 7 members of staff assigned to Mathematics, 14 members of staff assigned to English, etc, etc.

Please also include the titles/positions of each member of staff for each subject. I am not asking for their names or salary bands, only their title/position.

Please note that our staff are recruited on the basis of curriculum areas, rather than subjects, this is in line with the approach taken in Curriculum for Excellence.

The posts in the table below represent the individual posts which support particular areas of the curriculum as requested in the FOI. In addition, Education Scotland has other, cross cutting posts which have a focus across the curriculum and with different sectors of education such as attainment advisors, early years and college support. These have not been included nor have HM Inspector posts.
