Senior Leadership Team salaries will be published in our annual report and accounts, due for publication in Autumn 2019.
Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 38 (1)(b) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why this exemption applies are explained in the Annex to this letter.

No bonuses were paid to Social Security Scotland Senior Leadership Team.
The Scottish Government has not paid out any performance bonuses. The UK Cabinet Office senior civil service pay framework provides for the distribution of nonconsolidated payments in the form of performance bonuses for top performers. However, in line with Scottish Public Sector Pay Policy, the Scottish Government has not paid performance bonuses to staff since 2010.

Annex
Reasons for not providing information

An exemption applies under section 38 (1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to this request, it would contravene the Data Protection Principles in Article 4 (1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 3 of the Data Protection Act 2018. You have requested full annual salary details given to each member of the Senior Leadership Team. Disclosing individual salaries would be a breach of personal data. As such we will provide generic pay sales but are unable to provide individual salaries.
