- First Group Glasgow all subsidies in monetary value or other received for last financial year for East Renfrewshire area.
- Number of concession cardholder journeys on all First Group bus routes out of Eaglesham village and Waterfoot for last financial year.
- Any subsidies received by First Group for the area of Eaglesham and Waterfoot for the last financial year.
Transport Scotland is responsible for reimbursing bus operators under the Older and Disabled Persons concessionary travel scheme and the Young Persons concessionary travel scheme. Many operators will also receive a payment under the Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG). I can confirm that First Glasgow receive payment under all three of these schemes. However, this reimbursement is based on the individual schemes as a whole and not by specific areas in which the bus services operate.
The Scottish Government does not provide subsidies to any bus company for the purpose of operating bus services. Where a bus company operates a subsidised service, the subsidy would be the responsibility of the local authority.
Whilst Transport Scotland does hold cardholder journey information for individual bus companies and routes, we are unable to provide the detailed journey numbers relating specifically to the Eaglesham and Waterfoot areas only. We are in the process of implementing a new reimbursement IT system and hope to be in a position to provide this level of detail in the future.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. However you may wish to contact Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) or East Renfrewshire Council who may be able to help you.The Scottish Government is committed to publishing all information released in response to Freedom of Information requests.
