You asked for number of deaths of offenders aged 15 and over in the community for each of the years 2014-15 to 2017-18, which occurred while they were under local authority supervision because they were: Serving their court order sentences in the community (including community orders, suspended sentence orders, and cases occurring to those residing in approved premises). On post-release supervision after completing a custodial sentence.

Please find a file attached which gives the number of community payback orders and drug treatment and testing orders which terminated due to the death of the person on the order. This is broken down by local authority area of residence and covers people aged 15 and over. The data has been provided for the years 2014-15 to 2016-17 - information for 2017-18 is not in the public domain and is not expected to be published until February 2019 as part of criminal justice social work statistics data. Information is not collected on the cause of death for these cases.
 
Information is not held centrally on the number of people who died on post-release supervision after completing a custodial sentence.
