Information requested
Information on recruitment to SG vacancies as follows:
For the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017:
1. The total number of vacancies advertised on work for Scotland or civil service job websites. Where possible please provide a breakdown of what Stages they were at e.g. Stage 1, Stage1-3, Stage 4 etc.
2. From the data in Q1, how many people were appointed as a) internal candidates, b) how many were appointed from Other Government departments transfer in, c) how many were appointed as external candidates.
3. From the data collected in Q2, please provide a breakdown of the total numbers by Scottish government directorate where possible.
I am happy to receive either calendar or financial year datasets whichever is held.
Response
I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested at Annexes A and B.
Data tables have been provided in an attached excel spreadsheet (Annex B) for each year.
Please note if using this for comparison purposes that directorate structure is not consistent across years.
