Information requested
 
  1. Details of the cost of the extension of the BT contract for the Disclosure Scotland IT system.
  2. Details of any additional costs to make the new IT system ready by March 2019, in light of the system not being ready by September 2018.

  1. Our current contract with BT started 01 October 2018 and will complete on 31 March 2019. This is expected to cost £4.382 million.
  2. Disclosure Scotland’s new Technology platform PASS (Protecting and Safeguarding Scotland) began processing applications in June 2018. We will continue to add further functionality, that will enable us to process all of our caseload, which will require additional investment. Over the period 01 October 2018 to 31 March 2019 this is estimated to cost £5.40 million.
