Information requested
 
A detailed analysis of the total subsidy (revenue) ferry operations for each year from 2007 until current time for the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Services network area.
 
A detailed analysis of total capital spending for each year from 2007 for the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Services for vessels, ports and related infrastructure, including the funding agreement with Lloyds Bank Plc for the acquisition of the MV Loch Seaforth.

In accordance with Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 (Section 70) (4) payments in respect of subsidies for ferry services and grants for infrastructure improvements are made by Transport Scotland. Annex A - details the subsidy paid from 2007/08 to 2017/18 for the Clyde and Hebrides ferry service.

Annex B - details the investment levels that have been made at ports on the Clyde and Hebrides ferry service from 2007/08 to 2017/18.

Annex C - details the level of investment in new vessels in the CalMac fleet from 2007.

The financial arrangements between Lloyds Banking Group, Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd and CalMac Ferries Ltd are commercially confidential.
 
The operating lease between Lloyds Banking Group and Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd for the MV Loch Seaforth has been agreed for an 8 year period.
