Information requested
Correspondence between the Scottish Government and Audit Scotland regarding the drafting and finalising of Audit Scotland's 2016/17 audit of the Scottish Government Consolidated Accounts (released 28 September 2017). I would like to request that the information includes:
1. Emails/letters/minutes of meetings or phone calls between Government members (either Ministers or staff) and Audit Scotland representatives regarding or containing proposed revisions or edits to the report.
2. The drafts of the report up to but not including the final (released) report.
Response
I enclose a copy of all the information you requested in the format you asked for. Some name and contact information has been marked as redacted due to an exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal data relating to third party). This exemption applies to all of the information you have requested where it is personal data of a third party, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018.
