Information requested

The amount committed by the Scottish Government to the 'fund to provide £1 million in each of the next five years for Edinburgh's Festivals to maintain its status as the world's foremost festival city.' referenced on page 119 of the Programme for Government; for the amount of money that had been paid out through the Fund has paid out to date; for (if it does not break the cost limits) a list of payees that have received funding from the Fund and for the business case for the Fund.

The answer to your question is:

Funding for Platforms for Creative Excellence (PLACE) will be distributed by Creative Scotland on behalf of Scottish Government. No money has yet been paid out as the three funding partners, Scottish Government, City of Edinburgh Council and Festivals Edinburgh are developing application criteria for the fund.
