Information requested
The following information:
1. The amount of money spent on social media advertising in the last 5 financial years.
2. The amount of money planned to be spent on social media advertising in 2018-19.
3. A breakdown of social media spending in 2017-18 in terms of the projects or advertising campaigns.
4. A breakdown of the planned social media spending in 2018-18 in terms of the projects or advertising campaigns.
You provided a table format and we have used this for our response.
Response
I have enclosed a copy of all the information you requested, in the format that you requested (this is attached as a separate PDF file).
Please note that for 2018/19 campaigns, spend is included for campaigns which have run and been completed since 01 March 2018. All other campaign spend on social media advertising for 2018/19 is still to be confirmed.
Advertising on social media platforms is a cost-effective way of targeting Scottish Government marketing campaigns to the particular audiences amongst whom we seek to influence attitudes or change behaviour, and we take a tailored approach for each campaign we deliver.
