MSP Correspondence: How many enquiries were made to the Scottish Government in (a) 2016/17 and (b) 2017/18, and for both years, how many responses were issued after 20 working days?

The answer to your question is;

In 2016/17 I can confirm that 5153 pieces of correspondence from MSPs were added to the Scottish Government Ministerial and Corporate Correspondence System (MACCS), of which 88% were responded to on time and 625 received a response outwith 20 working days.

In 2017/18 I can confirm that 5944 pieces of correspondence from MSPs were added to MACCS, of which 90% were responded to on time and 589 received a response outwith 20 working days.
