How many student nurses applied for discretionary fund in 2016/2017
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Student Awards Agency Scotland does not have some of the information you have requested.
Support from the Undergraduate Discretionary Fund is available to eligible full and part-time students who are undertaking HNC, HND, degree or equivalent courses and postgraduate courses. Students in receipt of a Nursing and Midwifery bursary are not eligible for assistance from this fund. However, they may be entitled to support from a newly established Nursing and Midwifery Discretionary Fund which was introduced in 2016/2017. You should contact the Chief Nursing Officer Directorate at ceu@gov.scot

The total amount of support paid out under the Undergraduate Discretionary fund was £12.9 million in session 2016/2017.
