Information requested
The number of times the First Minister has met Charlotte Liddell, including the date, length and location of each meeting and whether the media was invited or present, or if the meetings were private. You also asked for details of any other contact between the First Minister and Charlotte, such as phone calls or letters.
Response
Charlotte Liddell was announced as the successful applicant to become the First Minister's mentee on 7 August 2017. The programme lasts for 12 months, so will continue up until August 2018. Since this time, and once prior as part of the selection process, the First Minister has met Charlotte Liddell on thirteen occasions. These are a combination of 1-2-1 mentoring sessions and other engagements and events that both the First Minister and Ms Liddell have attended.
As part of the mentorship, Ms Liddell has had the opportunity to shadow the chair of the First Minister's National Advisory Council on Women and Girls and been invited to participate in a number of events including the opening of the Queensferry Crossing and the Family Nurse Partnership – Millennium Stars Celebration event.
Charlotte Liddell is also a Year of Young People Ambassador and has attended two Year of Young People events also attended by the First Minister. The attached spreadsheet sets out the information requested, including the date, length and location of each meeting. The length of meeting refers to the amount of time scheduled for the engagement in the First Minister's diary.
Communication between the First Minister and Charlotte is through the First Minister's Private Office. There has not been any other contact between the First Minister and Charlotte, such as phone calls or letters.
