Information requested

The amount spent on taxi journeys to and from St Andrews House and the Scottish Parliament in 2017 and for the number of journeys made by ministerial cars between the same two destinations for the same year.

Response

In the calendar year of 2017 the amount spent on taxi journeys between St Andrew's House and the Scottish Parliament (excluding Ministers) was £1,113.32.

Civil servants are required to travel in the most cost-effective and time-efficient method available, and are encouraged to walk or use public transport. If a taxi journey is necessary, we encourage taxi sharing by all staff wherever possible.
