Information requested

Statistics for the percentage of those with a disability/ population in general with specific disability impairments e.g. what percentage are visually impaired, with learning difficulties etc, both overall and in employment.

Also could you advise what percentage of the population under the age of 27 have a disability.

Please find attached the information relating to the first part of your request.

In response to the second part of your request, in 2016, the proportion of people in Scotland aged 16 to 26 who were Equality Act Disabled was 12.8%. With those aged 27 included (i.e. the proportion of people in Scotland aged 16 to 27 who were Equality Act Disabled) this figure is 12.6%.
