Scottish Offshore Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) - fisheries management measures: fisheries assessment – Turbot Bank NCMPA
These assessments look at the fishing activity occurring within each offshore MPA and SAC and assess the potential impacts of this activity on the protected features within each site. This assessment is for Turbot Bank NCMPA.
7. Conclusion
Scottish Ministers have had regard to best available evidence and conclude that, provided the prohibition of sandeel fishing throughout all Scottish waters, any remaining fishing activities within the Turbot Bank NCMPA would not hinder the conservation objectives of this Nature Conservation Marine Protected Area.
