Scottish Offshore Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) - fisheries management measures: fisheries assessment – Geikie Slide and Hebridean Slope NCMPA
These assessments look at the fishing activity occurring within each offshore MPA and SAC and assess the potential impacts of this activity on the protected features within each site. This assessment is for Geikie Slide and Hebridean Slope NCMPA and has been updated following public consultation.
7. Conclusion
Scottish Ministers have had regard to best available evidence and conclude that, provided that appropriate management measures for fishing activities identified above are implemented, any remaining fishing activities would not hinder the conservation objectives of this Nature Conservation Marine Protected Area.
