GDP First Quarterly Estimate 2026 Q2 (April to June)
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure the output of the economy in Scotland.
Part of
- Scotland’s GDP grew by 0.7% in real terms during Quarter 2 2026 (April to June), after growing 0.1% in the previous quarter (January to March). In Quarter 2, GDP in the UK as a whole grew by 0.4% after growing by 0.6% in the previous quarter.
- In Quarter 2 2026 services output grew by 0.6%, production grew by 0.9%, construction grew by 0.3% and agriculture, forestry & fishing grew by 1.7%. The Distribution, Hotels and Restaurants sector made the largest contribution towards quarterly GDP.
- Compared to the same quarter last year, Scotland’s GDP grew by 1.1%. Over the same period, GDP in the UK as a whole grew by 1.2%.
