Items and actions
Sea trials on 23/10 were successful, all tasks that were required got completed. The winches were tested several times and FMPG were satisfied with the result. Lloyds were content with FMPG to demonstrate these tasks on the trials. [REDACTED] are still to provide final documentation for the castings design, this was due on 29/10.
Temporary solution for the gypsy’s were suitable for the next 2/3 months until the permanent solution is organised. The crew confirmed they were content with capstone’s after testing. FMPG agreed to chase up MCA for final documentation.
Issues ongoing with anchor chain wheels, final pattern was still required with sign off from Lloyds. Final pattern expected to be received later today.
List of certification and manuals were all in hand. FMPG and CMAL will discuss after meeting on remaining issues. The priority for FMPG was to get the passenger certificate passed – discussions were needed with MCA on expectations.
Meeting occurred with FMPG and CMAL regarding certification – further certainty needed on the status for equipment and material certificates. FMPG agreed to provide a further updated when available.
Outstanding plan approval comments on drawings from MCA – Some items were outstanding from FMPG but will be included within the list by 23/10.
90 outstanding CMAL comments. 31 outstanding Lloyds comments of which 16 have been addressed and Lloyds need to witness. 32 open MCA comments, 19 have been addressed and MCA need to witness. Expectation of having 13 MCA comments to be addressed by the end of the week. CMAL asked for regular updates from FMPG on comments being closed.
Warranty items – 199 items on the list, 42 were removed. 77 are still to be actioned, 44 were costed and 43 needed costing. FMPG were to provide CMAL with a simplified list.
Post handover work list was essential for handover. A plan needed to be developed for when the works will be delivered, CalMac and FMPG will take forward. FMPG are having final reviews before circulating. Ball park figure was provided however breakdown of costed items were essential.
Location of where the vessel will be was crucial in order to co-ordinate post delivery works. CMAL have shared details with CalMac. Once a delivery date was secured, CalMac will update their plans.
Discussions underway with identifying a warranty engineer. Once confirmed, charge rates were required for the contracts.
SG agreed to pull together a plan of delivery with FMPG’s input on when the works were expected to be completed for handover.
