A029
SG were looking for a list of post-delivery works, the costs associated and separated on what will be down at shake-down and what drydock. FMPG and CMAL agreed to look through the list to identify what items won’t have costs and move them to the list of non-conformities. CalMac requested to see the list in order to identify what work can be done during operation and what needs to be done in drydock.
Action – SG/CMAL
A030
FMPG and CMAL to discuss how to coordinate final activities with compartment close outs, in particular the generator and engine room.
FMPG to request approval from MCA for compartments to be worked on during the next set of sea trials.
Sea trials would focus on getting the anchors down, chains straightened, being content with the gypsy’s and other operational aspects. Comments were also looking to be reduced.
FMPG working with supplier to produce a replacement capstones for the anchor. FMPG are speaking to Lloyds to gain an interim certification. When replacement arrives the installation will be quick but a crane would be required.
18 open compartments have been completed therefore approval is being requested from MCA for sign off and validation.
CMAL and FMPG agree to go through the 300 open comments with the crew on sea trials to categorise what was a priority and what could be done post-handover. CMAL to report back for next meeting. This would then help with allocating costs to the post-delivery items.
