National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025: equality impact assessment
The equality impact assessment (EQIA) considers the potential impact of the amendment to the General Dental Services regulations on people with protected characteristics.
Recommendations and Conclusion
The EQIA process has allowed the Scottish Government to consider how the changes to prior approval and mandatory training may impact on the people of Scotland. We have concluded that these changes will have no negative impact on people with protected characteristics and that some people with certain protected characteristics may see more benefit from the changes to prior approval in terms of improving treatment times than the general population.
