National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025: equality impact assessment
The equality impact assessment (EQIA) considers the potential impact of the amendment to the General Dental Services regulations on people with protected characteristics.
The Scope of the EQIA
The EQIA assessed the impact of these changes on protected characteristic groups and it was determined that a light-touch EQIA was sufficient. Data was gathered on the oral health of people with protected characteristics to determine if these changes would have an impact on their ability to access NHS dental services.
Key Findings
The EQIA found that the majority of protected characteristic groups would not be negatively or positively impacted by these changes.
