EQIA for Improving Wellbeing and Working Cultures (IWWC)
This EQIA supports the Improving Wellbeing and Working Culture (IWWC) publication (2024). IWWC sets out the ambition to enhance working cultures across our social care, social work and health workforce.
Executive summary
Published in 2024, IWWC sets out the Scottish Government’s ambition to enhance working cultures across our social care, social work and health workforce, through programmes of work at a national level that focus on the pillars of: wellbeing, leadership and equality.
As this is a retrospective EQIA, IWWC was published and socialised for over a year when this assessment began. At present, no fundamental changes to IWWC are required at this time. However, this position may be subject to change based on the findings of future EQIAs undertaken as new, individual interventions are developed
Officials are currently reviewing the IWWC Action Plan which outlines the national work that will deliver on our ambition to improve working culture, through focused interventions across wellbeing, leadership and equality.
These focussed interventions will set individual policy directions for delivery partners to support their respective workforce. Separate EQIA will be undertaken for individual interventions.
